Have you tried connecting via TCP rather than UDP? In my most recent attempt to control my telescope over wifi from INDI I found that I couldn't connect via UDP, but I was able to connect via TCP (BUt I can't slew the scope). I could not solve connecting the Celestron NexStar driver using the ethernet protocol.Īs for your question, I am running INDI as root since the INDI Web Manager is installed system-wide.

Using the SkyPortal's IP, the default port (2000), and UDP, I can connect to the telescope using the NexStar Evolution driver but the driver thinks the mount is Alt/Az and not Eq North. The INDI server has two Celestron drivers: Celestron NexStar (GPS) and Celestron NexStar Evolution.įrom my understanding, the "Celestron NexStar Evolution" driver has SkyPortal support, but the "Celestron NexStar (GPS)" contains support for CGEM mounts. Next step: Connecting KStars/Ekos to the Celestron CGEM. I tested the INDI software and components using KStars/Ekos and the build-in simulators.
PWI SKYCHART INSTALL
The last install was the INDI Web Manager. I compiled INDI (from the github source), all the 3rd party libraries, and all the 3rd party drivers. I tested and can successfully connect to the mount using both the SkyPortal iPad app and the Celestron PWI telescope control software. I am currently attempting the same task with a Celestron CGEM mount, SkyPortal module, and a Raspberry PI.įirst step: Verify everything is working.
